The municipality has unified its child protection and mental health bodies into a single table that meets quarterly during the school year.
Daganzo de Arriba has launched the Community Wellbeing Table, a coordination and participation body that brings together technicians from various municipal areas to address emotional wellbeing and the protection of children and adolescents.
The table began its journey in October 2025 and was born from the merger of the previous Child and Adolescent Protection Tables and the Committee for Wellbeing, Mental Health, and Suicide Prevention. Since then, it has been convened quarterly during the school year.
In this space, the wellbeing coordinators from schools, protection delegates from the sports area and the Daganzo Music and Dance School (EMMD), the technician from the Municipal Point of the Regional Observatory on Gender Violence, the representative from the elderly area, social workers, and the psychologist from the municipal Social Services work together in a coordinated manner.
Technicians from the Education Department, the Childhood and Youth technician, protection delegates from SEM and Civil Protection, representatives from the State Security Forces and Bodies, and a representative from the Health Area also participate.
The aim is for the municipality's professional network to combine knowledge, resources, and commitment to promote the comprehensive wellbeing of the population, prevent and support situations of vulnerability and violence towards children and adolescents, and strengthen mental health through community action.
The Community Wellbeing Table thus becomes a key instrument for the residents of Daganzo to see the protection and mental health needs of the youngest being addressed in a coordinated manner, with a more agile and cross-cutting response from municipal services.
The next meetings will be held quarterly throughout the school year, as reported by the City Council.
