Over 785 children and young people participated this summer in the fifth edition of the Ars Vivendi artistic camp in Galapagar, held at the La Pocilla Cultural Centre and the Jacinto Benavente Theatre.
The Ars Vivendi artistic camp has once again been one of the main highlights of the summer in Galapagar. For six weeks, more than 785 children and young people aged between 3 and 16 have taken part in this fifth edition, which has been entirely held at the La Pocilla Cultural Centre and the Jacinto Benavente Theatre.
The municipal initiative has offered an immersive experience in the performing arts and artistic creation. Participants, organised by age groups, have been able to experiment with theatre, dance, music, visual arts, and circus, culminating each week with a final performance on the theatre stage, where they showcased all the work done to their families.
One of the most unique aspects of Ars Vivendi is the common theme that serves as a guiding thread each week. In this edition, the children have travelled through diverse universes such as the mysteries of Agatha Christie, the magic of Harry Potter, the solar eclipse, the musical legacy of David Bowie, Prince, Manuel de Falla, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, and Pau Casals, the art of Antoni Gaudí and Andy Warhol, the figure of Marilyn Monroe, or the history of the Roman Empire.
With initiatives like Ars Vivendi, the Galapagar City Council reinforces its commitment to providing quality educational and cultural offerings during the summer, which also helps families in the municipality.
