The swing and lindy hop festival organised by LaTarara Cultural fills the Town Square with workshops, social dancing, and a concert by The Savoy Six. All activities are free and open to everyone.
The Town Square of Manzanares el Real hosts this Saturday September 19 the fifth edition of ManzaSwing, a day of swing music and dance with free activities from 11:30 AM to 9:00 PM. An hour later, at 1:00 PM, Félix “El Duende” DJ offers a social dance session featuring jazz, swing, rhythm and blues, soul, and rock and roll.
In the afternoon, at 6:30 PM, Carlos Cayuela and Irene Bataller, professionals from the Madrid swing scene, lead an advanced lindy hop workshop. At 7:30 PM, El Duende DJ returns to provide music for the social dance as a prelude to the closing concert.
The day concludes at 9:00 PM with a performance by The Savoy Six, a Madrid-based group that revives the sound of the great swing bands with a repertoire designed for dancing.
The organisation continues its collaboration with Cada Lata Cuenta, an initiative promoting the recycling of beverage cans at events and public spaces.

Access to the workshops and social dancing does not require prior registration. The event takes place in the Town Square of Manzanares el Real.
