The Joan Miró Sociocultural Centre in Móstoles hosts the exhibition 'Constructively Informal' by the plastic artist Mena from October 14 to November 16. The exhibition, which is free to enter, consists of abstract, three-dimensional works made from recycled or waste materials.

The author himself defines his work as "abstract, unclassifiable, three-dimensional, informalist, sustainable, and tangible." The proposal is based on a solid foundation of drawing and aims to generate critical knowledge, sensory experience, and spaces for dialogue between the pieces and the viewer.

There is a growing awareness in the world about the recovery of materials to create a more habitable space, and by engaging in this, I accept and share it in my works, collecting recycled or waste materials to create a sense of unease within a clearly informal constructivism, but always trying to ensure that the viewer does not remain indifferent in front of them," Mena states.

The artist has an extensive exhibition history in galleries in A Coruña, Barcelona, Bilbao, Buenos Aires, Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, León, Madrid, Málaga, Mexico, Paris, the Dominican Republic, Toledo, Tuscany, Uruguay, Valencia, and Zaragoza, among other cities. Additionally, he was awarded at the XXXII National Plastic Arts Competition of Bolaños de Calatrava (Ciudad Real).

The exhibition will remain open at the Móstoles sociocultural centre for just over a month, with free entry for all audiences.
