The company Morboria, invited to the National Theatre Festival for Female Directors 'Ciudad de Torrejón', will stage Entre bobos anda el juego, a swashbuckling comedy written in 1638 by Francisco de Rojas Zorrilla. The production, directed by Eva del Palacio, is being performed in Torrejón de Ardoz as part of the festival.
The play tells the story of Don Antonio, who decides to marry his daughter Isabel to Don Lucas, a grotesque and wealthy character. Isabel, in love with Don Pedro, faces a tangle of hidden identities, jealousy, and misunderstandings between Madrid, Illescas, and Toledo.
Morboria, with 41 years of experience, revives the theatre of the Golden Age to bring it closer to new generations. The performance lasts 105 minutes and is recommended for ages 10 and up.
The 'Ciudad de Torrejón' festival continues its programming with this proposal, which champions the legacy of authors such as Rojas Zorrilla, Lope, or Calderón. Tickets can be purchased through the usual channels in the municipality.
