The Plaza de la Cultura hosts 'Voces de España' on Saturday, featuring the greatest hits of Manolo Escobar and Isabel Pantoja. The free programme also includes cinema, puppets, and a Latin ballet.
The Móstoles City Council has prepared a free cultural programme for this weekend, suitable for all audiences, with events ranging from tributes to two great figures of copla to summer cinema and puppetry for the little ones.
The highlight arrives on Saturday, August 8 at 21:30 in the Plaza de la Cultura, where 'Voces de España' will pay tribute to Manolo Escobar and honour Isabel Pantoja. The audience will be able to hear the best-known songs of both artists in a show that promises to fill the square with Spanish folklore.
Saturday's events will also include Summer Cinema, which will screen 'Lilo and Stitch' (2025) at 22:00 in Parque Coimbra, specifically in the park opposite the souk, at the corner of Calle del Castaño and Calle Eucalipto. A great option for enjoying with family or friends.
On Sunday 9, the Verbena programme will feature a Latin Ballet in the Plaza de la Cultura at 21:30, with rhythms that invite you to dance. Earlier, at 11:00, the Tropos Teatro company will present a version of the classic 'Snow White' at the Puppet Theatre of Finca Liana, with free entry until capacity is reached.
The agenda kicks off on Friday 7 with the children's Verbena, featuring artist Maple Staplegun and her circus and clown show 'Breaking Broken Dreams' at Plaza del Sol in PAU-4, at 21:30. The artist plays an office secretary who escapes to showcase her full potential in a show full of acrobatics and humour.
Additionally, this week marks the end of the exhibition 'Popular Music: A Photographic Vision', organised in collaboration with the Itiner Network of the Community of Madrid. It can be visited in the Column Hall of the Villa de Móstoles Cultural Centre until Sunday, August 9.
Residents looking to make the most of the weekend have a wide range of leisure activities available without leaving the municipality, with events that combine music, cinema, theatre, and exhibitions, all of which are free.
