On August 11 and 12, Puentes Viejas will host conferences, workshops, and solar observation as part of the Community of Madrid's Eclipse Trio campaign.
The municipality of Puentes Viejas will become a prime observation point for the total solar eclipse over two days. The Town Hall has organised a programme of activities that will take place on the upcoming 11th and 12th of August, framed within the Community of Madrid's Eclipse Trio campaign.
The programme includes conferences, solar observation sessions, workshops, and scientific outreach activities. The aim is to provide residents and visitors with a safe and educational experience in a natural setting, as reported by the Town Hall.
The Town Hall will distribute certified glasses for eclipse observation free of charge, thanks to the collaboration of the regional campaign. The distribution will take place at various points and dates: at the Town Hall for registered residents on Friday, August 7, and Monday, August 10; during the scheduled activities on Tuesday, August 11; and at the event's Information Point on Wednesday, August 12.
Distribution will be one unit per person and will continue until supplies run out. The Town Hall requests that those who already have certified glasses in good condition use them so that more people can benefit from the free distribution.
