The programme of the Alcalá de Henares Fairs experienced an intense day on Monday, with dance shows, music, senior dances, and activities organised by the local groups.
The programme of the Alcalá de Henares Fairs continued on Monday 24th August with a day that combined stage proposals, music, and activities from local groups in different parts of the city. The ‘Nights in the Park’ cycle featured a show by Juanjo Espinosa, while ‘Nights of the Patio’ offered a performance by the Cía de Danza Española Camino de Vuelta with their piece “Dance and Word”.
The senior dance gathered locals in the Plaza de Cervantes, where the orchestra La Bestia also performed. Within the Heritage by the Light of the Moon cycle, visits to the Walled Enclosure were held, providing an opportunity to explore this space at night.
The local groups were the stars with recreational activities spread throughout the city. Among them were the Game of the Chair of Don Quixote, the Football Tennis of Peña el Juglar, the Tragabolas of Puerta Alcalá, the Sitting Volleyball Tournament of Los Reincidentes in collaboration with the Club Voleibol Alcalá, and the Speed Race over 90 Castilian Rods of Los Jardineros.
The day also included the fair wine organised by the Hogar de Ávila and the vermouth served by the groups Los Vikingos, Los Presidiarios, and Los Bufones in the Plaza de Cervantes. Attendees could check the complete programme of the fairs on the council's festivities website.
