The exhibition, created by eleven women from the Atazar Reservoir Community, will be open to visit from September 25 to October 18 in La Cabrera. The inauguration will be on September 24 at 18:30.
The exhibition 'Voces (In)Visibles', a collective artistic audiovisual project, arrives at the Centro Comarcal de Humanidades Sierra Norte in La Cabrera, where it will be open from September 25 to October 18. The exhibition has previously been displayed in Puentes Viejas, the municipality that promotes it.
The inauguration will take place on Thursday, September 24 at 18:30, followed by a meeting-presentation at 19:00 between creators, artists, participants, and the public. During this event, the participatory process that led to the proposal and the experiences of the women involved will be shared.
The project originated from a community participation process in which eleven women reflected and dialogued about gender violence. From this work arises a photographic series that uses corporeality and allegory as languages to visually shape these experiences.
The exhibition incorporates different languages and resources, with technical development and digital post-production by Lorea Jaio and immersive sound design by Chico-Trópico. In this new phase, a participatory piece is added that aims to foster connection with the public and their inclusion in community debate and reflection.
The exhibition is funded by the State Pact against Gender Violence from the Ministry of Equality, promoted by the City Council of Puentes Viejas and driven by the Atazar Reservoir Community, with design and coordination by Clara Martínez Rodríguez and Adriana López García.
Visiting hours are from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 21:30; on Sundays, from 10:00 to 15:00. The activity is free, and more information can be found on the Community of Madrid's website.
