The municipality presents its cultural programme for 2026/27, with new features and its incorporation into the Theatre Network of the Community of Madrid. Ticket and subscription sales begin on 1st September.
Villalbilla has unveiled its new cultural programme for the 2026/27 season, which will run from October to June. The offering includes workshops, performances, and activities for all audiences, aiming to establish the municipality as a reference point for participatory cultural life.
The programme retains traditional workshops such as theatre, drawing, painting, furniture restoration, modelling and carving, tapestries, or ballroom dancing and Latin rhythms. New this year are monographic courses in artistic photography, aimed at all audiences.
Among the collaborating entities are the Villalbilla Musical Association, the Municipal School of Music and Dance “Maestro Chapí”, Villalbilla Performing Arts, and Proszénia Teatro, as well as women’s and seniors’ associations in the municipality.
New Auditorium and Theatre Network
The major news is Villalbilla's incorporation into the Theatre Network of the Community of Madrid starting in the second half of 2026. This programme brings together the main performance venues in the region to provide professional theatre, music, dance, and other performing arts shows to Madrid municipalities.
This incorporation coincides with the opening of the new Municipal Auditorium Emilia Pardo Bazán, a modern space with a capacity of 400 seats, accessible and equipped with technology to host theatrical performances, concerts, dance shows, children’s theatre, comedy, contemporary circus, and more cultural proposals.
Shared funding between the Community of Madrid and the Villalbilla City Council will allow for a higher quality and continuity of programming, with shows at accessible prices for all audiences.
Established Programs and Other Spaces
The Culture area maintains and strengthens established programmes such as Te Apunt@s, with group outings to shows and exhibitions in Madrid; Abril Cultural, where the Municipal Schools present their annual work through theatre, dance, music, and poetry; Temporary Exhibitions in the Town Hall lobby for local artists; and the Christmas Tale, the traditional show featuring local residents around 22nd December.
In addition to the new auditorium, other cultural facilities remain active, such as the Peñas Albas Multipurpose Centre, the Los Hueros Cultural Centre, the House of Culture, the El Robledal workshops, and the municipal libraries.
