The Mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, and the Councillor for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert, participated this Tuesday in the CADEMO business meeting at HUB232 in El Cantizal. Albert announced that the Industrial Plan 2026-2030 will allocate over 853 million euros to strengthen the western area as a digital and AI hub.
The HUB232 in El Cantizal, in Las Rozas, brought together business and institutional representatives at the meeting organised by the Confederation of Associations of Entrepreneurs of Western Madrid (CADEMO). Attendees included the Mayor of Las Rozas, José de la Uz, and the Councillor for Economy, Finance and Employment, Rocío Albert.
Albert announced that the Community of Madrid will strengthen the metropolitan western area as a digital, artificial intelligence, and advanced services hub with the new Industrial Plan 2026-2030, which includes 85 measures and a budget of over 853 million euros.

The councillor detailed three actions to boost this technological corridor: a new cybersecurity demonstration centre, the IndustrIA Madrid platform to facilitate the incorporation of artificial intelligence in companies, and an open innovation space that will connect large companies with startups. Albert reminded that Las Rozas is the second locality with the highest number of tech startups.
De la Uz pointed out that western Madrid is “one of the largest concentrations of companies in Spain due to joint efforts and actions like this to share initiatives and challenges.” The mayor advocated for maintaining low taxation and promoting business creation, citing the Entrepreneur Support Point at HUB232, from where a new business project is launched every week.
The event was also attended by the president of CEIM, Miguel Garrido; the deputy mayor and councillor for Digital Office, Gustavo Rico; the councillor for Economy, Employment and Innovation, Alba Monteiro; the councillor for General Services and Works, José Cabrera, and representatives from various companies in the western area of Madrid.
The Community of Madrid's Industrial Plan 2026-2030 will be implemented over the next five years, and its specific measures for the western technological corridor, including the cybersecurity centre and the IndustrIA Madrid platform, will be developed during this period.
