The Town Hall of Campo Real has invested over €65,000 in the complete renovation of the 440 square meters of the nursery playground of CEIP Miguel Delibes, financed by the Regional Investment Plan of the Community of Madrid.
The nursery students of CEIP Miguel Delibes in Campo Real are already using the renovated playground. The Town Hall has completed works that have involved an investment of over €65,000 and have completely renovated the 440 square meters of this space, intended for children aged between 2 and 5 years.
The project has been financed through the Regional Investment Plan of the Community of Madrid. The aim was to adapt the playground to the needs of the children and eliminate the architectural barriers that existed until now.
To achieve this, the project has created a single platform that facilitates mobility between the different areas. The pavement has been replaced with a continuous safety rubber surface, designed to cushion impacts.
New play elements have also been incorporated. The most striking are two slides located on a raised mound, along with a tunnel. Additionally, the sandpit has been reduced and pergolas have been installed to protect the children from the sun.
The mayor of Campo Real, Francisco Leal, visited the centre to check the completion of the works.
We continue to improve the school facilities. Little by little, alongside the Community of Madrid, we have carried out actions like this that have radically changed the playground, adapting it to the needs of the youngest students,” Leal explained.
The mayor acknowledged that he had hoped the works would be completed before the start of the school year, although he added that the final result was worth it.
This renovation continues the improvement project of the centre, the first phase of which was carried out last summer. In that intervention, nearly €23,000 was allocated to vinyl flooring for six classrooms on the ground floor, the corridor of the nursery building, and the dining room. This amount was supplemented by another €10,200 for painting various areas of the school and transforming the school garden.
