The Youth House of Colmenar Viejo promotes the ActIES 2026-2027 programme, with workshops and advice in schools. Reservations open on 21 September.
The Youth House of Colmenar Viejo has presented the ActIES 2026-2027 project, a programme of activities that will take place in the Secondary Education Institutes of the municipality during the upcoming school year.
The Councillor for Youth and Childhood, Enrique Navarro Hermosilla, explained that the programme aims to “promote the acquisition of basic life skills and strengthen the emotional intelligence of young people, accompanying them in their learning and personal maturation process.” According to the councillor, the activities provide resources such as autonomy, responsibility, organisation, self-motivation, and teamwork.
It equips them with tools to actively participate in their environment, promoting prosocial attitudes and coexistence that allow them to create alternatives and leisure and cultural spaces tailored to current needs.
Navarro added that the programme aims to collaborate with educational centres “by offering proposals that complement their work and respond to the interests of the young people in the municipality,” and noted that they remain open to suggestions from the educational community.
The programme is organised into four areas. The information area includes the activity In-formando and the Youth Information and Documentation Centre (CIDAJ). In orientation and advice, the Study and Profession Advisory Service and a workshop on preventing technological isolation and hyperconnectivity are offered. The cultural area includes competitions and exhibitions. There are also activities such as 4º+Empresa, space rental, the Commission for the Participation of Childhood and Adolescence (COPIA), and first aid.
