The Valdelaguna Town Hall has released the operational rules for the school canteen and breakfast for the 2026-2027 academic year, including schedules and a new mandatory email for notifying attendance and absences.

The Valdelaguna Town Hall has made public the operational rules for the Municipal Canteen for the 2026-2027 academic year, aiming to improve the organisation of the centre and the catering service. The main novelty is an exclusive email for managing attendance and absence notifications.

Breakfast is served from 7:30 to 8:30. After 8:30, breakfasts are no longer served, as that time is dedicated to the hygiene and organisation of the children. The service can be contracted through a full monthly fee or with 5-day vouchers, which can be used flexibly throughout the year with prior notice and payment for the day of consumption.

The canteen operates from 13:00 to 16:00. Children from the Nursery School (la Casita) without a nap are picked up between 13:45 and 13:55; those with a nap, between 15:30 and 15:55. School children are picked up between 15:00 and 15:55. Here too, a full monthly fee or flexible 5-day vouchers are offered with prior notice and payment for the day.

Attendance or absence notifications must be sent to the email comedor@valdelaguna.es, with the subject Canteen Notice or Breakfast Notice + child's name. Only notifications sent by email within the established timeframe will be valid; verbal notifications at the entrance or exit of the centre will not be accepted.

The deadline for notifying attendance or absence, both for the canteen and breakfast, is by the day before at 10:00 in the morning (for Monday, the previous Friday). If notification is not given within that timeframe, even if justified, the voucher day will be considered consumed. If the child does not attend the centre for the entire school day, they lose the opportunity to participate in the canteen and cannot be taken solely for that service; the day will also be counted as consumed.

Takeaway food can only be collected if properly notified by 12:00 noon on the same day. Without notification, it will not be prepared and the day will be lost.

On excursion days, if the student arrives at the centre after 14:15, they may enjoy the canteen but will not be served food; with prior notice, it can be prepared for takeaway. Attendance or absence on these days is governed by the same notification rules as any other day.

For the collection of minors, families must sign an authorisation document allowing a person other than the legal guardian to pick up the child. Only expressly authorised persons may do so; if no one presents, the child will not be handed over. Collection must occur before 15:55. If no authorised person presents by that time, it will be considered an abandonment incident and the competent authorities will be notified.

Verbal notifications at the entrance or exit of the centre will not be accepted. Only notifications made by email and under the previously stated conditions will be valid.

Families needing more information or to manage vouchers can contact the centre or use the email provided for the service.
