Hoyo de Manzanares is all set for its Children and Youth Week 2026, which will be held from August 24 to September 1 at various locations in the municipality. The programme, promoted by the Youth Department, includes craft workshops, shows, inflatables, water excursions, and competitions, with the Plaza Mayor as the main venue.
Most activities are free and designed for children and young people to enjoy before the Patron Saint Festivities. Among the highlighted proposals is the anti-drug bus from the Community of Madrid, which will be present on Monday 24 from 17:00 to 22:00, and the craft workshops from 18:00 to 21:00, where participants can create everything from cork hearts to bird feeders.

On Monday 24, there will also be face painting, caricatures, and a 360º video photobooth, all in the afternoon. The caricatures, provided by two professionals, will have limited slots and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum of two children per slot.
On Tuesday 25, the inflatable castles, including water ones, will arrive from 17:00 to 21:00, along with a foam party in two sessions: from 18:30 to 19:00 for children aged 4 to 12 and from 20:30 to 21:00 for young people aged 13 to 25. Wednesday 26 will feature the 'Hoyochef' cooking show competition, where participants aged 8 to 14 will prepare a Swiss roll.
For the cooking show, prior registration is required by calling 610 82 62 26 (Vinoteca El Caño) before 14:00 on Friday, August 21, or until spots are filled. That same Wednesday, from 19:30 to 21:00, the Plaza de la Caldereta will host the mini greased pole competition with the band Txarangutanes for children aged 6 to 12.
On Thursday 27, the programme will continue with more surprises, and throughout the week, excursions to the Aquópolis water park and a pool party are also planned. The Town Hall recommends checking the complete programme to not miss any activity, as some require registration or have limited spots.
The Children and Youth Week has become an unmissable event of the summer in Hoyo de Manzanares, offering a varied programme that combines creativity, sports, and fun for all ages.
