The town of Mataelpino (El Boalo) will host its traditional bullfighting day on Saturday, August 22, as part of the San Bartolomé Patron Saint Festivities. The programme will kick off at 00:30 hours with a night run featuring 2 cows and 1 novice bull from the Valdefresno ranch, which will later be released in the square.
Entry for the night run will cost 2 euros, although it will be included in the general pass. At 13:30 hours, the bull release of 4 novice bulls from the Villanueva ranch is scheduled.
The day will continue at 18:30 hours with the novice bullfighting, also featuring cattle from Villanueva. The line-up of novice bullfighters will include Manuel León, Cristian Restrepo, Nicasio Carbonell, and David Pascual.
Prices vary depending on the type of event. The general pass costs 15 euros and includes the bullfighting events, the night run, a paella, and priority access to dinner. For the novice bullfighting, the general entry is 12 euros, while retirees and groups will pay 10 euros. Children under 14 enter free.
The organisation encourages locals and visitors to participate in a day that combines tradition and a festive atmosphere in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama.
