Thousands attended the concerts of Loquillo in the Huerta del Obispo and Efecto Pasillo in the Plaza de Cervantes this Sunday, which opened the Alcalá de Henares 2026 Fairs and Festivals.

Alcalá de Henares kicked off its 2026 Fairs and Festivals this Sunday with two major concerts that brought together thousands of people. Loquillo performed in the Huerta del Obispo as part of the Conciertos de la Muralla series, while Efecto Pasillo filled the Plaza de Cervantes in an inaugural day that combined rock and pop for all audiences.

The musical programming continues throughout the week. In the Huerta del Obispo, on August 27, there will be a tribute to Estopa, El Canto del Loco, Pereza and Leiva; on August 28, the Muralla Camp will take place with Fangoria, Chenoa and Nancys Rubias, among others; and on August 29, Vanesa Martín will take the stage.

The Plaza de Cervantes will host dancing with orchestras every night. On Sunday 23, Monday 24, Tuesday 25 and Thursday 27, there will be dancing for seniors at 21:00 hours and an orchestra at 22:30. On Wednesday 26, the musical turn will be a tribute to Camela; on Friday, a tribute to Estopa; and on Saturday, singer Rosa López will close the cycle.

Additionally, the Banda Sinfónica Complutense will perform on Friday 28 and the Tuna de la Universidad de Alcalá on Saturday 29, also in the Plaza de Cervantes.

Meanwhile, the parque de Sementales returns this year as a venue for a musical cycle featuring local artists, following the positive reception of the previous edition. On Sunday August 23, the Agrupación de Zarzuela Alcalá de Henares will perform Zarzuela and more; on Monday 24, Juanjo Espinosa will offer a tribute to the 2000s with Generación Milenial; on Tuesday 25, Manuel Alejandro will pay homage to Nino Bravo with Vuelve; and on Wednesday 26, it will be Diego Larrea with Despierta.

The Sementales cycle will continue on Thursday 27 with local artist Sonia Andrade and her show Así canto yo; on Friday 28, Patricia Velasco will present Noches de Copla; and on Saturday, there will be two concerts: The Fábula, featuring Carlitos Chacal, Lito Castillo and Luisvi Saldaña, and the closing with the Concierto de Formula Pop.

Residents and visitors still have a week full of musical proposals for all tastes ahead, with free entry in most venues.
