The municipality will host a special programme at the Municipal Arboretum 'Jardín de la Alcarria' with workshops, distribution of certified glasses, and children's activities for the eclipse on August 12.
The Municipal Arboretum 'Jardín de la Alcarria' in Nuevo Baztán will be the venue for a special programme to mark the solar eclipse on August 12. The Town Hall has organised two days of activities to bring this astronomical phenomenon closer to residents and visitors.
The proposals will kick off on Tuesday, August 11, with an informative day prior to the big day. Between 17:00 and 21:00, those who come to the Arboretum will be able to receive information about the eclipse and learn about the activities planned for the following day.
Additionally, starting at 18:00 on Tuesday, the first certified glasses for observing the eclipse will be distributed, while supplies last. A maximum of 2 glasses per person will be given out.
On Wednesday, August 12, from 17:30, the Arboretum will become the meeting point to enjoy and learn about this event. The programme will include a workshop for dissemination and information about the eclipse, designed to bring this phenomenon closer to the public in a simple and educational way.
The little ones will have their space with workshops and children's activities related to the eclipse. There will also be proposals for all ages, such as the face painting workshop 'The Colours of the Eclipse' and the creative workshop 'Draw Your Own Eclipse'.
This free event aims for attendees to experience the eclipse safely and knowledgeably. The Town Hall recommends arriving early to secure glasses and participate in the activities.
