The Velilla de San Antonio Town Hall and U.D. Velilla have agreed to sign the document that will regulate the use of sports facilities in the 2026/2027 season, and the Sports area will invest in improving the changing rooms of the football pitch.
The Sports Councillor of Velilla de San Antonio, Silvia Castillo, met with the president of the Unión Deportiva Velilla, José Miguel Moya, and several members of its board to review the 2025/2026 season and lay the groundwork for the next sports year.
During the meeting, both parties agreed to sign the document that will regulate the use of municipal sports facilities during the 2026/2027 season, with the aim of strengthening coordination and ensuring the proper functioning of the facilities.
The club, which competes in federated categories with teams of all ages, expressed its willingness to continue collaborating with the Town Hall in the same manner as last season. From the Sports area, Castillo announced that there will be an investment in improving the changing rooms of the football pitch, facilities that, due to their age, require an update.
This action would continue the improvements already made this season, such as the enhancement and covering of the stand, a long-standing demand of the club. The goal is to continue advancing in the modernization of a space heavily used by the community.
During the meeting, the club was also informed about upcoming municipal actions regarding the protection of children and adolescents in sports. This is a project that the Sports area has been working on for months and will begin to be developed from September, aiming to raise awareness and provide tools to create a safer sporting environment.
The Town Hall has thanked U.D. Velilla and all those involved for their dedication and commitment to local sports. The signing of the new facilities usage agreement will take place in the coming months, before the start of the next season.
