The municipal programme returns in September with three afternoons of recreational activities at the Hipatia secondary school building, aimed at different age groups.
The Rivas-Vaciamadrid City Council resumes in September Las tardes de Hipatia, a programme of educational leisure activities for children and youth. The sessions will be held on Thursdays at the Hipatia secondary school building, from 17:00 to 18:30, and require prior registration through the municipal website.
The first event, on 10 September, is a scavenger hunt titled ‘The Beginning’, aimed at those born between 2014 and 2020. “We are going to start the term by waking up our brains, solving puzzles and shaping this year's Las tardes de Hipatia,” the organisers encourage. The application deadline is 8 September.
On 17 September, the Cooperative Olympics will take place, for those born between 2003 and 2012. The proposal presents an Olympic game where the goals cannot be achieved alone: “Lean on your friends, have fun and come to start the term by playing.” Registrations close on 15 September.
The last session of the month, on 24 September, will be ‘The Tree of Las tardes de Hipatia’, again for the group born between 2014 and 2020. On this afternoon, a mural will be created that will be displayed throughout the school year with goals and good wishes for the term. The deadline to sign up ends on 22 September.
Applications are processed at inscripciones.rivasciudad.es, within the childhood and youth section.
