Móstoles has kicked off its Patron Saint Festivities 2026 with the Gala for the Elderly, a tribute to Michael Jackson, community stews, and 24 hours of sports. The events will take place until September 15.
The Patron Saint Festivities of Móstoles in honour of Our Lady of the Saints and Saint Simón de Rojas began this weekend with an agenda that combined music, gastronomy, and sports. The Gala for the Elderly "Close to the Stars" and the show "Michael's Legacy" filled the bullring on Saturday, September 5, and Sunday, September 6, respectively, with a large turnout.
The tribute show to Michael Jackson, which has already been seen by over 500,000 spectators, provided the musical highlight with the artist's greatest hits. The mayor of Móstoles, Manuel Bautista, accompanied by government councillors, attended these central festive events.
Community associations played a prominent role. In the Cefera and Pinar de Móstoles neighbourhood, a traditional Madrid stew was prepared, while in Pinares Llanos, the traditional proclamation was held to officially kick off the festivities. Sports took centre stage in Estoril II with the legendary 24 hours of sports at the neighbourhood sports centre, and in Parque Coimbra with the innovative 1st Interpeñas Padel Tournament, organised with the Móstoles Peñas Federation at the Mistral sports centre.
The municipality anticipated the Day of Extremadura, celebrated on September 8, with a mass in honour of the Virgin of Guadalupe at the parish of Our Lady of the Rosary and Hope, which featured a performance by Coros y Danzas El Miajón.

During the Patron Saint Festivities, our streets are filled with music, tradition, and gatherings to share with family and friends, highlighting that Móstoles is a vibrant city and that the people of Móstoles participate in our festivities with emotion and pride," stated the mayor.
The festivities, organised by the Móstoles City Council through the Department of Mobility, Transport, Consumption, and Celebrations, will continue until September 15.
