The Town Hall of Torres de la Alameda has published the pre-festivities programme, which will take place from Friday 25 to Sunday 27 September with activities for all ages in the Plaza del Sol, the Bullring, and the municipal sports centre.
The pre-festivities programme of Torres de la Alameda will kick off on Friday 25 September at 17:00 hours with a decoration workshop to adorn the streets, organised by Rincón Joven and the groups LVS, Cautivas, Desechadas, and Resacón. The event will be held on Calle San Roque and is sponsored by Café-72 and Seven-two.
On the same day, at 19:00 hours, the Plaza del Sol will host the Handkerchief Game, organised by the Peña Las Panas, with registration before the start. At 18:00 hours, the Torres de la Alameda Pensioners' Association will organise the Local Petanque Championship in the Olof Palme Park, with the collaboration of the Festivities Commission.
Saturday 26 September will be the busiest day. At 13:00 hours, the Bullring will host the Paella Contest, organised by the Peña El Venazo, with registrations open until 17 September at the link https://bit.ly/PaellasTorres2026. At 15:00 hours, in the same venue, the Peña Las Panas will organise the Cheesecake Contest.
In the afternoon, from 16:30 to 20:30 hours, there will be an afternoon session with DJ Titos in the Bullring. From 17:00 to 20:00 hours, the Plaza del Sol will host Unplugged Games, sponsored by the Halcon Glider Aeromodelling Club. At 23:00 hours, the Bullring will be the stage for Tribute Night with Todo Cafeína, featuring segments dedicated to Mecano, ABBA, Queen, La Oreja de Van Gogh, and El Canto del Loco. Entry is free. At 01:30 hours, DJ Sergio MS will close the day in the same location, also with free entry.
Sunday 27 September will start at 9:00 hours with MTB Torres, a charity cycling march in favour of the Oncological Foundation of Hospital Niño Jesús. The start will be from the Plaza del Sol and the finish at the Fairgrounds. There are three routes: one of 50 kilometres with 1,100 metres of elevation, another of 35 kilometres with 600 metres, and an easy one of 22 kilometres with 300 metres. Organised by the MTB Torres Club.
At the same time, the New Petanque Fields next to the Municipal Pool will host the Tango Championship, sponsored by Café-Lito, with registrations before the start. At 11:30 hours, the Municipal Sports Centre Football Field will be the venue for the league match of the 3rd round between the amateur team EDF Torres and San Roque E.F.F “A”, with free entry.
The pre-festivities will conclude at 17:00 hours with bouncy castles in the Plaza del Sol, sponsored by Recuperaciones Carmona.
