The local government board of Ciempozuelos has given the green light to the paving plan for several streets in the municipality, with an investment of €450,000. The works will begin in spring.
The Town Council of Ciempozuelos approved this Thursday in a local government meeting the paving plan for 2026, which includes the renewal of the pavement in eight streets in the urban area. The project, funded with municipal funds, has a budget of €450,000.
The affected roads are Real, del Sol, Mayor, San Juan, La Paz, Huertas, Del Prado, and the crossing of the M-404 road as it passes through the municipality. According to the council, the works will be carried out in phases to minimise disruption to traffic.
The mayor, Raúl Rodríguez, explained that "this is a priority action to improve road safety and accessibility for residents." The works are expected to begin in spring and have an estimated duration of three months.
During the construction period, alternative detours will be established, and the public will be kept informed through the official channels of the Town Council. In addition, the Community of Madrid has been requested to coordinate the works with the intercity bus lines that run through the area.
This investment adds to the road improvement actions carried out in 2025, when six other streets in the municipality were paved. The governing team plans to continue this plan in the coming years, prioritising the roads in the worst condition.
