The Aranjuez City Council announces a total traffic closure of Plaza de San Antonio from 07:00 on Thursday, August 27 until 10:00 on Friday, August 28 for a specific road repair.
Traffic in the Plaza de San Antonio of Aranjuez will face a total interruption for more than a day starting from Thursday, August 27. The City Council has scheduled a specific road repair in the section between the glorieta de Rusiñol and calle Florida, heading towards the latter street.
The works will begin at 07:00 hours on Thursday and will last until approximately 10:00 hours on Friday, August 28. During this period, the affected section will be completely closed to vehicular traffic, as reported by the City Council.
Traffic coming from the Carretera de Andalucía will not be affected by the closure, so drivers arriving via that route can continue their journey as normal. However, those travelling in the east-west direction will need to seek alternative routes.
The City Council recommends three itineraries to bypass the area: calle del Gobernador, calle de San Pascual, and the route formed by Avenida de la Plaza de Toros, calle del Capitán Angosto Gómez Castrillón, and Paseo del Deleite.
This action responds to the need to repair a specific section of the road in one of the most central squares of Aranjuez, which is heavily trafficked due to its proximity to the historic centre and the Florida area. Residents and visitors who need to cross the area should allow extra time for their journeys during the closure hours.
It is recommended to pay attention to the temporary signage and the instructions from workers during the works, which will take place during daylight hours to minimise disruption.
