Boadilla programmes nature workshops and routes for September and October

The Environmental Classroom of Boadilla del Monte offers nature and recycling workshops and activities for children in September and October.

The Environmental Classroom of Boadilla del Monte has presented its programme for September and October, featuring routes, workshops, and children's activities focused on nature, recycling, and sustainability.

The Environmental Classroom of Boadilla del Monte has unveiled its activity programme for September and October, which includes interpretative routes, children's workshops, wildlife observation, and recycling proposals. The activities, which require prior reservation, will take place in various natural spaces within the municipality.

The programme kicks off with Days without school. Detectives in nature, from August 31 to September 4, aimed at children aged 6 to 12. The activity runs from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM and costs 18 euros per day for residents and 21 euros for non-residents.

On Saturday, September 5, there will be an interpretative route through the vegetation of the Guadarrama riverbank, in the Dehesa del Sotillo, and on Sunday, September 6, the children's workshop The air, our invisible friend will introduce the little ones to the atmosphere through experiments.

On Saturday the 12th, there will be a route to discover the lichens of Vallelargo; on Saturday the 19th, an ornithological route in the Fresneda stream; and on Sunday the 20th, The food race will take place, a marathon of games about healthy and sustainable habits.

In September, there is also a planned route through the Santander Forest (Saturday the 26th) and a workshop on board games using recycled materials (Sunday the 27th), where caps, cardboard, and wood will be reused.

In October, on the 3rd, the route The secrets of the Camino del Romeral will be held in celebration of World Animal Day, and on the 4th, Landscapes that educate, focused on the surroundings of the Palace of Infante Don Luis and its gardens.

On Saturday the 10th, in honour of World Migratory Bird Day, the ornithological route Traveling without luggage will take place, and on Sunday the 11th, a Suminagashi workshop, the Japanese art of marbling on water.

On Saturday the 17th, a macro photography workshop will be offered, in collaboration with the Boadilla Science Club, recommended for those over 16. The following day, there will be a guided excursion to Kuna Ibérica-Centro José Peña, in Navas del Rey, a wildlife rehabilitation centre with over 200 specimens, including wolves, fallow deer, eagles, and vultures.

The final proposals will be a route through the Santander Forest (Saturday the 24th) and two Halloween decoration workshops with recycled materials, on the 25th and 31st of October.
