The Colmenar Viejo City Council has called for five social worker positions to join as career civil servants. The announcement was published in the BOE on September 17, 2026, and the positions belong to subgroup A2.
The deadline for submitting applications is October 16, 2026. Interested individuals can submit their application at the General Registry of the City Council or through the Electronic Headquarters, according to the terms of the announcement.
The process will be resolved through open competition. The examination consists of two mandatory and eliminatory exercises, one theoretical and one practical, covering a syllabus of 14 topics of common subjects and 45 of specific subjects. An evaluation board will assess the candidates according to the principles of equality, merit, and capacity.
Social workers are the first link in the chain of support for residents facing a situation of vulnerability. They listen, guide, and help find the appropriate resources for each case. With this call for five positions, we aim to strengthen that close attention and improve the response capacity of municipal social services," said the Councillor for Social Policy, Jesús Fernández.
The Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Human Resources, Belén Colmenarejo, explained that the goal of the City Council is "to continue providing the Administration with the necessary workers to meet each and every need of each department."
