The Corpa Town Hall has activated a campaign to control feral cats in the municipality. The measure, according to the council, aims to manage existing feline colonies and prevent public health issues and neighbourly conflicts.
The campaign includes the capture, sterilisation, and release of the animals, a method known as CES (Capture, Sterilisation and Release) that is applied in controlled colonies. The Town Hall has not specified the number of animals expected to be treated or the exact schedule of actions.
Municipal sources have indicated that the initiative will be developed with the collaboration of volunteers and local associations. The council reminds that feral cats are animals that live freely and that their management must be carried out following health and animal welfare criteria.
