The Chapinería City Council is organising three free sessions at the Palacio de la Sagra on October 13, 20, and 27, from 10:00 to 12:00, as part of the Comprehensive Support Service for Carers (SAIC 2026).
The Chapinería City Council, through the Comprehensive Support Service for Carers (SAIC 2026), has scheduled three workshops on self-care and empowerment aimed at women, especially those who care for or have cared for others. The sessions will take place at the Palacio de la Sagra, located at Prudencio Melo Street, 21, in the CAPI Multipurpose Classroom.
The meetings will occur on October 13, 20, and 27, from 10:00 to 12:00. Registration can be done through the form provided by the organisation.
The first workshop, on October 13, is titled “Who Takes Care of Me?” and will focus on self-care. It will address the importance of caring for oneself and provide guidelines on small habits that improve personal well-being.
The second session, on October 20, is titled “1, 2, 3… Breathe and Relax” and will concentrate on stress management. Participants will learn breathing and relaxation techniques to apply in tense or overwhelming situations.
The cycle will conclude with the workshop on October 27, “How to Set Boundaries”, which will offer tools to learn how to say “no” without feeling guilty and to avoid prioritising others' needs over one's own.
The programme is designed for women who care for or have cared for others and who feel they have had to put their own plans on hold due to caregiving responsibilities, or who need support to share that burden and start thinking about themselves again.
Caring for others also requires learning to care for oneself
