The Town Hall of El Boalo, Cerceda and Mataelpino has launched a new edition of the municipal campaign for the treatment and control of the pine processionary caterpillar, aiming to keep the trees healthy and ensure safety in the environment. The initiative will take place between September 15 and December 18, 2026.
The method to be applied is plant endotherapy, a technique that involves injecting the treatment directly into the trunk of the tree. According to the council, this practice allows for combating the pest without the need for aerial spraying and with less impact on the surrounding environment.
