The City Card of Getafe opens to visitors and non-residents, adds new digital features and launches the 'Shop in Your Neighbourhood' campaign with five €100 prizes.
The Getafe City Council has initiated a new phase of the City Card, which expands its uses and opens to visitors, students, workers, and regular consumers, in addition to residents. The tool, free and personal, incorporates new functionalities through its mobile application and becomes the gateway to promotions, vouchers, and cultural, commercial, and leisure experiences in the municipality.
Among the benefits offered are social vouchers to spend in participating establishments, support for school supplies, discounts on the Waste Tax linked to recycling, and a programme for 18-year-old residents who will receive €50 to spend in local shops. The card will also provide access to information, news, and events in the city.
As part of this expansion, the campaign “Shop in Your Neighbourhood” has been activated, aimed at promoting local consumption. For a limited time, each purchase made in the shops participating in the City Card will generate an entry into the draw for five €100 prizes.
To participate, interested parties must download the Getafe City Card, make a purchase at any of the participating establishments, and show their QR code. Each purchase counts as one entry, so the more purchases made, the more chances to win.
The initiative is part of the Activa Getafe project, framed within the digital transformation of the city. Its objective is to connect citizens, visitors, shops, hospitality, and municipal services in a more agile and secure experience. The services offered by the card will gradually expand with new functionalities linked to administrative digitalisation and economic dynamism.
The rules of the “Shop in Your Neighbourhood” campaign draw are available at www.acoeg.org, and all information about the City Card can be consulted at tarjetaciudad.getafe.es.
