This Friday, August 21, Hoyo de Manzanares restores vehicular traffic and the usual route of bus line 611 following the completion of the second phase of the reurbanisation works on Nuestra Señora del Rosario street.
Hoyo de Manzanares returns to normalcy from this Friday, August 21, on one of its main thoroughfares. The Town Hall has announced the reopening of Nuestra Señora del Rosario street to vehicular traffic, once the second phase of the reurbanisation works, carried out with criteria of accessibility, safety, and environmental improvement, has been completed.
The measure also affects public transport: the intercity bus line 611 resumes its usual route from the first service in the morning, both towards Madrid-Hoyo de Manzanares and in the opposite direction, with stops again on Avenida de la Paloma and on Nuestra Señora del Rosario street itself.
With the reopening, the special mobility plan established during the works is no longer in effect. Parking is thus restored in Plaza de la Hontanilla, Calle de las Erillas, Calle Corchero, Calle de La Cruz, Avenida de los Cantazos (numbers 1, 3, and 5), and Plaza de la Cruz.
The usual traffic directions are also reinstated. Calle Corchero and the initial stretch of Avenida de los Cantazos return to two-way traffic, and Plaza de la Hontanilla regains its direction towards Calle Erillas. Plaza de la Caldereta, for its part, will remain closed to traffic on weekends, as was customary.
On August 14, pedestrian access to the road had already been opened and parking spaces had been enabled in Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario. With this reopening, the provisional bus stop that had been installed in Plaza de la Cruz and Calle Erillas is eliminated.
The Town Hall of Hoyo de Manzanares has thanked residents for their understanding during the works, which have significantly improved one of the central axes of the municipality.
