The Valdemorillo Town Council has presented the schedule for the 2026 September Festivals, which include the fourth edition of the Crazy Cars, the Holi Run, the Foam Party, and the debut of AquaBattle. The opening speech will be given by the volunteers of Civil Protection in celebration of their tenth anniversary.
Valdemorillo is gearing up to celebrate its traditional September Festivals, which this year come with a programme full of activities for all ages and several new features. The Plaza de la Constitución and the streets of the town centre will once again be the backdrop for celebrations that the Town Council wants to make the local residents the main focus.
The mayor has encouraged participation in a festival that, in his words, aims to “awaken the involvement of everyone, children, young people, and adults, to enjoy together the fun and great atmosphere we are going to experience, putting the best finishing touch to this summer.” The mayor highlighted that “the street, participation, and the desire to have a great time” are the foundation of an agenda that “is increasingly growing in content and interest.”
Among the must-see events, the Crazy Cars Race reaches its fourth edition, accompanied by the Holi Run, the Foam Party, and the new AquaBattle Valdemorillo. There will also be bouncy castles at the Dehesa Sports Centre Pool and a moving dance masterclass at Eras Cerradas.
One of the new features for 2026 is the children's cutting contest, which brings the bullfighting tradition closer to the little ones. Those interested in participating can sign up by sending an email to actvaldemorillo@gmail.com.
The local groups will once again play a prominent role, with a parade accompanied by a band that will travel through the centre to the Plaza de la Constitución, after a chocolate event courtesy of the La Original churrería. They will also organise a bingo and a snack on Sunday at the Town Hall.
The opening speech of the festivities will pay tribute to the volunteers of the Local Civil Protection Group, who are celebrating their tenth anniversary. After the official welcome, the students of the Alba Martínez Dance School will perform in the square, celebrating their gold in the Global Open Dance Final. The first night will be closed by the concerts of Recuerdos Locos and DJ Miami, while Saturday will feature ‘Em, Sabina’ and DJ Tito.
On Sunday, September 6, the 15th Concentration of Classic Cars and Motorcycles will take place at the La Candelaria Bullring, where dozens of vehicles over 30 years old are expected. As a prelude, there will be a performance by artists from the Juan Gallery on Friday as part of the Summer Scenes Festival, and on Saturday the cultural proposal ‘Welcome & Sorry’.
The main day will be Tuesday, September 8, a local holiday, with a mass in honour of the Nativity of the Virgin at the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption at 12:30 PM. The programme will conclude with the Votilesco exhibition, a concert by the Villa de Chiva Pulse and Plectrum Orchestra, and the Children Without Cancer Race, which will take place on September 27.
The mayor wanted to thank in advance the involvement of participants, spectators, Local Police, Civil Protection, and municipal staff, and invited everyone to share in a festival that demonstrates “the open and participatory character” of Valdemorillo.
