The Local Government Board has approved the granting of the 2025 aid, which will be paid in the coming weeks. Each family will receive a one-off payment of €1,100 or €1,400 depending on their category.
The Local Government Board of the Majadahonda City Council has approved the granting of economic aid for birth or adoption corresponding to the 2025 call. In total, 367 families in the municipality will receive €429,800, which will be paid in the coming weeks through the Department of Social Welfare and Family.
Of the total beneficiaries, 280 families will receive a one-off payment of €1,100 (general category), while the 87 remaining, 23.7%, will receive €1,400 (special category). In this last category, more than 22% are large families, 1.09% are single-parent families, and 0.54% are parents with a baby with developmental delays.
The number of beneficiary families has increased by almost 9% compared to the previous call. Since the first edition in 2023, the Majadahonda City Council has allocated €1,549,200 to this aid, benefiting 1,372 local families.
The Councillor for Social Welfare, Family and Seniors, Marina Arines, stated:
This government team's commitment to families, with initiatives like this aid call, represents support for parents at an important moment, the birth or adoption of a child, with all the economic effort that entails.
Looking ahead to the 2026 call, the number of applicants has increased by 10.6% compared to the previous year, rising from 349 to 386. Since the beginning of the current term, the number of beneficiary families has grown by 16.5%, from 315 in 2023 to 367 in 2026.
The payment will be made by bank transfer in the coming weeks, once the granting has been approved by the Local Government Board.
