Alcalá de Henares night lines will have 30-minute frequencies during the August Fairs, with service until 5:30 on weekends.
The Alcalá de Henares Fairs, which will take place from Friday 21 to Sunday 30 August, will feature a special public transport arrangement that will reinforce urban night lines to facilitate travel during the festivities.
The L-1A, L-1B, L-10 night and L-11 lines will have a frequency of 30 minutes throughout the fair period. From Monday to Thursday, the service will extend until 3:30 am, while from Friday to Sunday it will be extended until 5:30 am, except on Sunday 30 August, when it will end again at 3:30 am.
The L-10 night line will extend its route to Plaza de la Juventud and Lope de Figueroa, bringing the service closer to the fairgrounds and facilitating the return home for residents and visitors participating in the activities.
During the day, urban buses will maintain their usual routes, with a single modification to the L-1B line. This line will no longer run along Fernán Falcón street and will modify its itinerary to pass through Giner de los Ríos street, Teniente Ruiz street, Sebastián de la Plaza street, Vía Complutense, Marqués de Alonso Martínez street, and paseo de la Alameda, from where it will resume its usual route.
The arrangement also affects intercity transport. The L-229 line will shorten its route to the Abogados de Oficio roundabout, while the L-223 will take over the Rodríguez de Hita stop currently served by the L-229. The aim is to adapt the service to the mobility needs generated by the Fairs and to offer alternatives during peak night activity hours.
The Alcalá de Henares City Council reminds the importance of using public transport during the festivities, especially for night travel, to promote safer mobility and avoid the use of private vehicles when possible.
