The Town Hall of Redueña informs that the Forest Fire Area of the Community of Madrid will carry out vegetation reduction works in three locations within the municipality. This measure affects private plots and opens a 20-day period for objections.
The Forest Fire Area of the Community of Madrid, under the Directorate General of Emergencies (Department of Environment, Agriculture and Interior), will conduct fire prevention works in the municipality of Redueña. This action is part of the prevention campaign 2026-2027, which begins in October.
The works consist of reducing vegetation that can easily catch fire in mountainous areas, aiming to improve their resilience in the event of a fire. The total area planned is 58.45 hectares in the locations of Los Barrancos, Cotos de Monterrey, and Lagunilla. The reference for the work is 1212601R and is part of the Annual Plan for Prevention, Surveillance, and Extinction of Forest Fires of the Community of Madrid 2026.
Owners of plots in the affected areas have a period of 20 days to request information and submit objections. They can do so at the Town Hall of Redueña or through the Electronic Headquarters: reduena.sedelectronica.es.
The complete list of affected plots, organized by polygon and plot number, is available in the municipal bulletin. The Town Hall recommends consulting it for those who own land in Los Barrancos, Cotos de Monterrey, or Lagunilla.
