The Colmenarejo Town Council thanks its Civil Protection team, which has participated in extinguishing fires in eight municipalities in Madrid and Castilla y León.
The Colmenarejo Town Council has sought to highlight the work of its Civil Protection service this summer. Six volunteers have collaborated in various emergency response operations against forest fires, both in the Community of Madrid and in Castilla y León.
The volunteers have supported firefighters and forest firefighters in the tasks of extinguishing and controlling the fire. They have also worked in the shelters set up to assist evacuated individuals, providing support during a particularly difficult time.
The interventions have taken place in Villa del Prado, Navalagamella, Cebreros, Robledo de Chavela, Valdemorillo, Colmenarejo, El Espinar, and Vegas de Matute. Their presence in these locations is part of the prevention and response campaign against forest fires.
The council has publicly thanked the commitment and service vocation of these volunteers, who have demonstrated their readiness to protect the population, the environment, and heritage. The work of Civil Protection remains crucial in responding to emergencies affecting the region.
