Prádena del Rincón is preparing for the solar eclipse on August 12. The Town Hall has issued a statement with timings and safety measures to enjoy the phenomenon without risks.

On August 12, Prádena del Rincón will be one of the observation points for the solar eclipse crossing the peninsula. The Town Hall has released a statement with key times and recommendations for residents and visitors to safely follow the event.

According to the council, the eclipse will begin at 10:45 and reach its maximum at 12:10, when the Moon will cover approximately 85% of the solar disc. The phenomenon will conclude at 13:35, lasting nearly three hours in total.

Local authorities stress that looking directly at the sun without protection can cause irreversible eye damage. Therefore, they recommend using special glasses with ISO 12312-2 certified filters or indirect methods such as projection with a dark box.

The Town Hall of Prádena del Rincón has announced that it will set up an observation point in the main square with suitable materials for those who do not have glasses. Additionally, informational brochures with basic instructions will be distributed.

The weather forecast indicates clear skies, which will allow for good visibility of the eclipse. However, the council reminds that in case of clouds, the phenomenon can be followed live through the municipal website.

This will be the first time Prádena del Rincón organizes a public activity of this kind. The event is free and open to all, although it is recommended to arrive early to find a good spot.
