The San Lorenzo groups from El Escorial can request to store their carts in the municipal area starting September 7. The application must be made in person and requires a deposit of €100.
The San Lorenzo de El Escorial groups wishing to leave their carts in the municipal area on Juan Esteban Street after the Romería must apply in person on September 7 and 8 at the General Registry of the Town Hall. The process does not allow for any other method.
Before submitting the application, a deposit of €100 must be paid into the Caixabank account ES73 2100 4074 2913 0032 8917. This amount covers the use of one spot in the municipal parking for the storage of the cart.
The council will make a total of 28 spots available to the groups. If requests exceed this number, a draw will be held on September 9 at 10:00 hours in the Town Hall's Plenary Hall.
The carts can be deposited in the area on September 14 from 11:00 to 14:00 hours and on September 15 from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00 hours. Each cart must occupy only one spot, with all items on top and covered with a securely fastened tarpaulin to prevent it from flying away and causing inconvenience to neighbours.
The removal of the carts can only be done on the days and times determined by the Town Hall, except for cases of force majeure duly justified and with prior municipal authorisation. The Council is not responsible for any damage, loss, or theft that may occur to the carts or their contents during their stay in the area.
This measure aims to organise public space after the Romería and prevent carts from being abandoned or poorly stored. Interested groups should keep in mind the deadlines, as the application is in person and will not be accepted outside the indicated dates.
