The Youth Delegation is organising a freestyle competition on September 5 at Parque Pozo de las Nieves with prizes of up to €500.
The City Council of Aranjuez, through its Youth Delegation, has launched the 1st Battle of Roosters, an improvisation and urban culture competition that will take place on Saturday, September 5 from 19:00 hours at Parque Pozo de las Nieves. The event, presented on August 21, aims to bring together young people from the locality and other municipalities around freestyle.
Participation is limited to 32 spots for young people aged 14 to 30 years. Registrations will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis by sending an email to juventud@aranjuez.es with full name, age, stage name, and contact phone number.
The top three finalists will receive prizes of €500, €300, and €100, respectively. The day will feature a speaker to host the competition, a DJ, a panel of expert judges, and performances by guest artists.
According to municipal sources, the initiative aims to provide young people with a space for meeting, participation, and artistic expression, highlighting disciplines that combine creativity, ingenuity, responsiveness, rhythm, and talent. The battle of roosters is an improvisation competition where participants face off in different rounds, building rhymes and responding to their rivals live in front of the audience.
