The Town Hall of Torres de la Alameda will hire 13 unemployed individuals for eight months thanks to the 2026 call of the Professional Activation programme. The new hires are expected to start at the end of September.
The Town Hall of Torres de la Alameda has secured a grant from the 2026 Professional Activation programme, allowing it to hire 13 unemployed individuals for eight months on a full-time basis. The initiative, co-financed with funds from the SEPE and managed by the Community of Madrid, aims to improve the employability of participants by combining work and training.
The offered positions include bricklayers, an architect, a childcare educator, an administrative technician, and a communication technician. During the contract, the selected individuals will carry out works and services related to their occupation, allowing them to gain real experience, and will receive cross-training in personal and social skills for employment and environmental awareness.
To apply for these positions, candidates must be unemployed and registered as job seekers with the Public Employment Service of the Community of Madrid. Preference will be given to those over 45 years old, although this is not an exclusive requirement, and candidates must be registered in the occupations corresponding to the requested position, demonstrating qualifications through a university degree, a Higher Technician title, or verifiable professional experience with contracts, payslips, or a work history report.
The Town Hall recommends that interested individuals update their information at the Employment Offices of the Community of Madrid, including the occupations for which they are qualified, and also register with the municipal employment service OFEDE. The selection process will begin shortly, as the expectation is that the new hires will start at the end of September, and the surveys will be conducted based on the lists sent by the employment offices.
This initiative is framed within the regulations outlined in BOCM No. 120, dated May 22, 2023, and BOCM No. 39, dated February 16, 2026. The town council encourages unemployed individuals who meet the requirements to check and update their registration as soon as possible to be considered in the upcoming selection processes.
