The Sur park in Velilla de San Antonio has reopened its doors after five months of comprehensive renovation work. The mayor, Antonia Alcázar, and the urban planning councillor, Joaquín Panadero, visited the space to check the outcome of an initiative aimed at providing residents with a more accessible and modern area.

One of the main highlights is the creation of a new sports area featuring a multi-sport court for playing football and basketball. The usage hours for this facility will be from 09:00 to 23:00 during the summer months, while from September to May, it will be reduced to 22:00.

The intervention also included the complete renovation of the perimeter pathways, improvements to the lighting system, the installation of new urban furniture, and the planting of grass in various areas of the park.

The Velilla de San Antonio City Council has emphasized its commitment to creating public spaces that are more accessible and adapted to the needs of all residents. With this initiative, Sur park solidifies its role as a meeting point for leisure and sports in the municipality.
