The XXXIV Urban Mile of Velilla de San Antonio took place on Sunday September 20 with nearly 400 registrations, according to data released by the City Council. This figure surpasses the 223 registered participants in 2025 and marks the highest record in recent editions of the event.
The race began at 11:00 on Federico García Lorca street. The event awarded podiums in ten categories, from Chupete to Veterans 2, and featured runners of all ages.
The Councillor for Sports, Silvia Castillo, attributed the result to the involvement of the participants and the staff who made the event possible.
Velilla once again demonstrates its commitment to sports with a record registration of nearly 400 people in the Urban Mile. I would like to express my gratitude for the work of Civil Protection, the Local Police, and the municipal workers, as well as to especially mention the indispensable work of the Velilla Athletics Club that made this success possible.
The City Council thanked the collaboration of Civil Protection, the Local Police, municipal workers, and the Velilla Athletics Club. It also acknowledged the usual sponsor, Ahorramas supermarkets, and the residents who followed the event from the street.

Among the winners are Julia Minguito and Asier Parra in Chupete, Nahia Toral and Diego Herráez in Prebenjamín, Zoe Cabañas and Dario Gonzalez in Benjamín, Zoe Muñoz and Luca Garcia in Alevín, Isabel Moncayo and Alex Cocu in Infantil, Florencia Fernandez and Álex Piedra in Cadete, Lidia Cabezas and Sergio Garcia in Juvenil, Laura Franco and Jonatan Di Benedetto in Senior, Elena Iglesias and Miguel García in Veterans 1, and Lola Martínez and Ramos Pintado in Veterans 2.
