The San Lorenzo de El Escorial Town Hall has put out to tender the drafting of the project for works to improve the energy efficiency of the Zaburdón Sports Centre, with funding of €15,847 from NextGenerationEU funds.
The Town Hall of San Lorenzo de El Escorial has launched the sustainable rehabilitation of the Zaburdón Sports Centre. The council has begun drafting the project that will define the technical solutions to improve the energy efficiency of the building, a preliminary step to the actions that will be carried out in subsequent phases.
The action is financed under the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, with an allocation of €15,847.00 from NextGenerationEU funds. The aim is to optimise the usage conditions of the facilities and reduce the energy consumption of the building.
The project mainly includes improving thermal insulation through actions on the enclosures of the Northern and Southern pavilions, as well as on the roofs and facades of both. Minor actions on certain carpentry elements and targeted improvements of insulation in areas that require it are also planned, in order to enhance the overall energy performance of the building.
These works will provide a direct benefit to the users of the sports centre, who will see improved thermal comfort conditions of the facilities, and to the municipality as a whole, as the energy expenditure of public equipment will be reduced.
The drafting of the project is the first step in a process that will continue with the tendering and execution of the works, the timelines of which will be known once this technical phase is completed.
