The Municipal Library Ricardo León in Galapagar resumes its cultural programming in September with five activities from the 3rd to the 11th, aimed at adult, child, and family audiences.
The agenda kicks off on September 3 at 18:00 with a new session of 'Thursday Cinema', organised by the Senior Citizens Association 'La Posada'. The film tells the story of a group of women who drive a solidarity initiative. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
On September 9 at 19:00, 'Shadows in the Reform', a novel by local author Jesús Moya Ruiz, will be presented, addressing themes of overcoming, solidarity, and the fight for justice. Admission is also free.
On September 10 at 18:00, 'Librarians for a Day' will take place, an activity to learn about the inner workings of the library and discover how books are organised and cared for. It is aimed at those over 6 years old, has limited capacity, and requires prior registration at biblioteca@galapagar.es.
The programming concludes on September 11 at 18:00 with two events. On one hand, the storytelling session 'Tales with Shells', for those over 5 years old and also requiring prior registration at the same email. On the other, the presentation of 'The Guardian of the Rose', by Nieves Corte, a novel set in 15th century Paris that recovers the figure of Christine de Pizan, considered the first professional female writer in history. This presentation is free to attend.
