The play tells the story of Aurora and Blanca, two friends from Ushuaia who navigate life without great deeds. Aurora is a teacher, moves, gets married, has a child, and writes poetry. Blanca, a dressmaker, cares for her mother until she dies and enters into relationships that always cause her suffering. She also writes poetry.
The play, written and directed by Mariano Tenconi Blanco, starts from a question: how to explain the origin of life. The text traverses scientific and religious theories to conclude that life itself is a miracle. And that friendship and literature can be the emergence of the extraordinary in the ordinary.
The production features voice-over by Alicia Borrachero and live music by Jorge Naveros on piano and Diana Valencia on violin. The original music and musical direction are by Ian Shifres. The rest of the team includes Ariel Vaccaro in set design, Matias Sendón in lighting, Igone Teso in costumes, Agustina San Martín in audiovisual design, and Josefina Gorostiza in choreography.
The production is by Producciones Teatrales Contemporáneas, with executive production by Olvido Orovio. The play is presented as a tribute to the lives that do not appear in headlines but sustain the world.
