Coslada hosts a CEL event on logistics sustainability

Coslada's mayor, Ángel Viveros, has inaugurated the event "Environmental, Social and Governance Responsibility in Logistics and Transport Activities" at CEXCO, organised by the Spanish Logistics Centre. The meeting brings together professionals from the sector throughout the day to discuss sustainability, decarbonisation, and talent management.

The Business Excellence Centre (CEXCO) in Coslada hosted the event "Environmental, Social and Governance Responsibility in Logistics and Transport Activities" on Wednesday, organised by the Spanish Logistics Centre (CEL). The local mayor, Ángel Viveros, was responsible for opening the meeting, which also featured the director general of CEL, Ramón García.

The session, which runs throughout the day, gathers representatives and professionals from the sector to analyse how logistics and transport companies incorporate ESG (environmental, social, and governance) criteria into their activities. The central themes are sustainable mobility, decarbonisation, talent management, governance, and the use of data to improve decision-making.

In his speech, Viveros defended Coslada's role on the logistics map and called for more cooperation between the public and private sectors.

The mayor added that the City Council does not remain on the sidelines of business activity:

We do not conceive public management from the sidelines. We believe in transformative municipal policy that invests in infrastructure, streamlines procedures, promotes technical qualification, and advocates public-private collaboration as the best tool to generate wealth and social cohesion

Viveros positioned the city as "one of the main logistics and transport hubs" and insisted on the need to "continue promoting collaboration between public administrations and the business fabric." The event is being held at CEXCO, the municipal reference space for business activities in Coslada.
