The City Council of Aranjuez, through the Youth Delegation, opens registration for the Leisure and Free Time Monitor Course, accredited by the Community of Madrid, until October 7. The municipal scholarship of 30% brings the final price down to 180 euros.
Young people from Aranjuez aged 17 and over can register this month for the new Leisure and Free Time Monitor Course organised by the Youth Delegation of the City Council. The qualification is accredited by the Community of Madrid and qualifies participants to work in summer camps, urban camps, extracurricular activities, playrooms, end-of-year trips, school canteens, and children's and youth events.
The municipal scholarship of 30% reduces the cost of training to 180 euros per participant, below the usual price for such official qualifications.
The programme consists of 310 hours divided into two phases. The theoretical phase, lasting 150 hours, combines in-person classroom lessons, virtual training, and a weekend camping trip. Sessions are held on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 18:00, with a one-hour break for lunch. It starts on October 10 and ends on December 20, 2026, coinciding with the practical camping weekend (December 19 and 20).
The practical phase, lasting 160 hours, begins once the theory is completed. Students have a maximum period of 18 months to finish it. Both the Youth Delegation and the school provide personalised advice to find associations and companies where students can complete their internships, tailored to each participant's needs.
