The Town Council announces the cake and tortilla contests for the Day of San Agustín, with prizes of up to 100 euros. Registrations are open from August 24 to 28.
The municipality of San Agustín del Guadalix will celebrate on Friday, August 28, the day of its patron, the traditional cake and tortilla contests. The event will take place at 21:00 in the Plaza de la Constitución, where after the jury's deliberation, the Town Council will invite attendees to tortilla, sangria, and dancing.
Registrations to participate in both contests will open on Monday, August 24, and will remain available until August 28 at 13:30. Interested parties can sign up in person at the Town Council's Department of Councils, from 10:30 to 13:00, Monday to Friday, or electronically by sending an email to concejalias@aytosag.es.
As in previous editions, all cooking enthusiasts can participate, whether individually or representing an association or group of friends. The only requirement is not to be a professional in pastry or gastronomy.
The winners of each contest will receive a gift voucher redeemable at establishments in San Agustín del Guadalix. The first prize is worth 100 euros, the second 75 euros, and the third 50 euros.
The complete rules for both contests, along with the self-filling registration forms, are available on the municipal website. The Town Council encourages residents to participate and enjoy a festive day that combines tradition, gastronomy, and community in the heart of the municipality.
