The Continuous Care Point of the South Health Centre in Colmenar Viejo has filled its four medical positions since August 1. The Community of Madrid has fulfilled its commitment to the City Council and maintains double nursing staff.
The Continuous Care Point (PAC) of the South Health Centre in Colmenar Viejo has had the four doctors that complete its medical staff since August 1. The Health Department of the Community of Madrid has thus covered 100% of the positions in this out-of-hospital emergency service, according to information from the City Council.
In addition to the four medical positions, the PAC maintains the double staffing of nursing professionals. The service addresses out-of-hospital emergencies in the municipality during continuous care hours.
The mayor of Colmenar Viejo, Carlos Blázquez, has praised the complete coverage of the staff:
This is fantastic news for Colmenar Viejo and, above all, for our residents. We have been working hand in hand with the Department to ensure that our Continuous Care Point has all the necessary doctors, and today we can say that the four positions are filled and that the PAC has 100% of its medical staff.
The mayor has thanked the involvement of the Health Minister, Fátima Matute, and her team, with whom the City Council has maintained ongoing contact to convey the health needs of the municipality.
The Community of Madrid made a commitment to Colmenar Viejo, and today that commitment is a reality.
Blázquez added that the lack of healthcare professionals continues to affect the entire country and called on the Central Administration to facilitate the incorporation of more doctors into the system. The mayor pointed out that the City Council will continue to advocate for the health improvements needed by the municipality.
During the recent Patron Saint Festivities, the healthcare device was reinforced to respond to the increased activity during those days.
