The Department of Sports and Health of Móstoles launches a new edition of the Municipal Health School with six courses and a sexual advice service. Registration begins on September 14.
The Móstoles City Council, through the Department of Sports and Health, has launched the new edition of the Municipal Health School for the 2026/27 academic year. The program aims to promote information, awareness, and training to improve the quality of life of residents.
The offering includes six proposals: “Learn to take care of your back”, “What can I eat?”, “Manage your stress and emotions”, “Keys to better sleep”, “Healthy aging”, and the XXVII School of Grandparents. This last workshop returns to highlight the role of grandparents in families and improve intergenerational relationships.
Registrations for these training activities can be formalised from September 14 until ten days before the start of each activity. The process will take place at the Health Area, located in the Juan XXIII Municipal Senior Centre, at Juan XXIII Street, 6.
The service hours will be from September 14 to 30, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 13:00. From September 30, the service will be limited to Mondays, from 9:30 to 11:30.
The registration form can be collected at the reception of the senior centre or downloaded from the municipal website www.mostoles.es/EspacioSaludable/es. For more information, interested parties can call 916647622 or consult the activity guide via the link provided by the council.
In addition to the courses, the Municipal Health School offers a health and sexuality information and advice service, with individual and couple attention. It also caters to professionals and specific groups on comprehensive sexual education. To access this service, appointments must be made in advance by calling 916647622, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00, or by writing to sexualidad@mostoles.es.
The program starts in September and will continue throughout the academic year, with limited places in each workshop. Interested residents must formalise their registration before the chosen activity begins to secure their spot.
